How RYZVOX was made: two years from the first sketch to the first bag

Our story · 2024–2026

Before we sold anything, we spent two years on sketches, samples and trips. This is a look into our prototype drawer, including the pieces that did not make it.

It started with what we were missing on the road

We are a group of riders and travellers with tens of thousands of kilometres between us, on the road and off it. Along the way we went through a lot of luggage, and something about every piece bothered us. Mostly the same thing: everything inside ended up in one pile, and on the road we spent more time searching than riding.

“For a long time I looked at gear as a customer. I was buying more bags, but I still had the same mess. So I stopped looking for one more bag. I started looking for a better system.”

Láďa, Founder & Product Designer

So in 2024 we decided to make our own. Láďa started drawing, and Rudy was there from the first sketch. Back then RYZVOX was an idea and a pile of parts on the table. In January 2025 we had the first duffel prototype in our hands, and the next day it was on the bike.

RYZGRID™ on the outside

In the spring of 2025 we started working on two attachment systems at once: one on the outside of the bag and one inside. On the outside we wanted a grid that takes our add-ons and your own gear. MOLLE-compatible, so the gear you already own fits too. But unlike standard MOLLE, we wanted to attach things vertically or horizontally, not only in rows.

It started with a simple sketch on paper. Then we printed the grid on templates, threaded straps through them and adjusted the dimensions, sometimes by just two millimetres. Next came the first cut panels, and in June the first sewn sample. That is how RYZGRID™ was born.

And RYZCLAW™ on the inside

Inside the bag we tackled the other half of the problem. To stop things from spilling into each other, the bag needed an inside that keeps order. That is how RYZCLAW™ was born.

The hook-and-loop inside the bag is not sewn in, it is welded to the outer fabric. It holds better, and no stitching weakens the fabric. The organisers stick to it wherever you need them.

The first prototypes had a black interior. But black gear disappears in a black bag, and we were back to searching. So the final interior is light, and you can see everything in the bag at a glance.

04 · Summer 2025

Out of the workshop

From the summer of 2025 we tested the sewn samples off-road and on the bike. We deliberately overloaded them, towed them behind a motorcycle, dragged them through mud and left them out in the rain. Some of them did not make it, and that is exactly what we needed to find out.

The weak spot should be ours to find, not yours to discover halfway through a trip. Every test ended with changes, new stitching and another sample.

“So we changed it. Then we changed it again. And then one more time. It seems we just like to make things hard for ourselves.”

Three names

If you spotted different names in the photos, they are not typos. The first prototype says EQVIPO, the summer samples say RYZNOX. We worked under both names during development, and since the end of summer 2025 everything says RYZVOX.

Dry bags are still in the works

Alongside the bag we are working on dry bags and compression bags that stack side by side inside it. They are still prototypes, so we will tell you more in a separate article once they are ready.

From an old basement to our own base

In the autumn we cleared out an old basement and turned it into our own base. Concrete and dust gave way to new walls and dark wooden slats. Today it is where we develop, where the motorcycle with our gear stands and where we film the videos you see from us.

Everything fits together

In the spring of 2026 we packed the whole set for the first time the way you will pack it. Compression bags, organisers and clothes in one bag, everything in its place. We use the gear we offer you on our own trips, whether we ride, drive or fly.

We tried to destroy it. We failed.

The finished bag had to go through the same things as the prototypes, only this time on camera. We threw it off a moving motorcycle, towed it across gravel behind a bike with someone kneeling on it, then strapped it back on covered in mud and rode on.

FAR Duffel Bag 40L

Built to reduce chaos.

The FAR Duffel Bag 40L is the first part of our travel system. Every piece of gear we add next is designed to fit into it. RYZGRID™ on the outside, RYZCLAW™ on the inside, YKK® zips, Duraflex® and Woojin® buckles. It goes on sale in early November 2026.

What comes next

A system that grows one piece at a time

We started with luggage because that is where the worst problems were. The range grows outwards from there, and every new piece has to attach to the ones you already own. That rule slows us down, and we are keeping it anyway. What we are testing right now, we show as it happens on Instagram.
